When you want to use the in-built
flash of the camera in conjunction with another studio flash not fitted with
photocell sensor (slave)
|
Operating Instructions:
1/ Fix the trigger around the housing of the studio flash using the belt. The
Photocell triggering inductor should be in line with the flash of the digital
camera.
Insert the synch. plug of the trigger into the socket of
the flash and the DC 9V power cord to the main power.
Tun on the power switch of the trigger. The unit is ready
to operate.
2/ Before use you should turn off the photocell/slave
switch of the external flash (the one where the trigger is connected). If there
is no ON/OFF switch on the flash, cover the sensor with tape.
The in-built flash of the digital camera has 1 to 5
pre-flashes depending on the brand and model. The pre-flash function is used for
measuring the light, preventing red eyes and focusing automatically.
When operating, the trigger will record the first
pre-flash and will start counting the following ones ignoring them. It will
finally synchronise with the last one (the actual flash) and fire the studio
flash at the same time.
Adjust the trigger according to the number of pre-flashes
on your digital camera (1 to 5 times).
