The transmitter sits on camera's hot shoe and sends encoded
(16-bit digitally encoded) radio signal to trigger a remote flash, a studio
strobe or a flash power pack up to 3000 W/S to which the receiver is attached.
The transmitter contains a tiny user-installable 12V alkaline photo battery
(included) and has a function of sleeping mode when standby (getting rid of
on/off switch). So it has super low power consumption and can trigger some
20,000 times continuously with one battery.
The receiver receives the signal
sent by the transmitter, decodes it and triggers the flash/strobe/power pack
it is attached to at a sync speed up to 1/1000 sec.
Effective range: 100 feet/30m approx.
The receiver has a standard 1/4" phone jack plug for
attachment to many studio flashes using this type of connection. It also comes
with one 1/8" (3mm) PC sync plug adapter which is designed for use with studio
flash/strobe that use this type of connection.
The transmitter has a TEST button so you can trigger your
remote flash manually for metering purpose. The item also comes with a PC sync
cord for cameras that do not have a hot shoe. Measurement: Transmitter - 60mm
x 48mm x 37mm, Weight: 1.3 oz (with battery) / Receiver - 85mm x 55mm x 25mm,
