advantage of an umbrella softbox compared to an umbrella reflector
is controllability and containment of light. An umbrella reflector
is good for broad coverage and can be used as a "shoot thru" light
source or "reflected" light source. An umbrella softbox will not
bounce light off the walls adjacent to the light source as an
umbrella will - especially when shooting through a white umbrella.
